Vintage MCM Hand Carved Bird Wall Plaques Hair Pick Set of 3 Tanganyika Africa. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
This set of 3 absolutely stunning hancarved ebony birds possibly purple martin's are in excellent vintage condition.  They measure approximately 12 x2.75, 8 x 2 and 7 x 1.5. There some wear and minor surface scratches consistent with age. No cracks chips, that are natural or repairs.  They had one owner prior to me and I purchased at their estate sale. They were travelers and collected items from all over the world. They were made and purchased on a trip to Tanganyika in the 1950s.
Tanganyika was a territory located on the continent of Africa, and administered by the United Kingdom from 1916 until 1961.  In 1964 it merged with Zanzibar which was later renamed to the United Republic of Tanzania.
