    Description

    Up for auction is a vintage carved wood, ebony or similar wood, seated monkey with hand on chin.  It was recently found at auction in Lancaster County PA in a collection.  It is offered as found with a poor repair to its right leg, seems like gorilla glue, pardon the pun. Other cracks found in the body.  Nicely done but believed "made for the trade".  We believe this is 60s 70s timeframe.  Unsigned.  Damage to both front feet/legs, toes missing.
