Phoenix consolidated art deco glass vase seagulls sculpted clear & frosted 11"

Description

A beautiful seagull or bird design flows around this vintage 1930s-40s frosty white finished Sculpted glass vase by the Phoenix Glass co. The large raised birds are fly across the vase with wings spread. Swirling wind flows around them.
Phoenix Glass Co. is located in Monaca, PA. Phoenix began production of art glass in 1932 when 45 to 50 molds from the Consolidated Glass Co. were moved to Phoenix and used until early 1936. This occurred because Consolidated Glass Co. had been forced to shut down due to the Great Depression.
This particular vase has a beautiful semi-translucent lilac white color with some clear transparent zones. The glass pattern design is attributed to Phoenix/Consolidated. The large 11 1/8 inch x 10 1/2 inch x 5 1/2 inch oversized vase is heavy with a thick glass wall. The opening up top measures
4 inches x 7 1/4 inches.
