    Description

    This hand-carved and finished old Ashanti fertility doll is from West Africa. It measures 12" tall. The Ashanti have it that a woman who possesses one of these dolls will give birth to a beautiful child. It is in very good condition, reclaimed/cleaned. It has an area below the right eye and a spot on the base missing from age deterioration. It has a simple, smooth shape and features.
