African Carved Tribal Figure, Mali Region

Description

This is a nice old carved figure most likely from the Senufo in Mali, West Africa. It has a beautiful even age patina. There is some slight cracking due to wood shrinkage which only adds to it's attractiveness. It stands 15.25" (38.74 cm) high X about 3" (7.6 cm) wide.
This beautiful carving will make a wonderful addition to anyone’s collection of African, Yoruba or Ethnographic art. It is insect free, showing no sign if active insect infestation or earlier damage. Purchased at an estate auction, it is of unknown provenance. We make no claims to its age, authenticity or previous use.
